Here’s What I’d Tell My Younger Self

Growing up, I was not a very cool kid. I was extremely self-conscious, struggled with confidence, and was constantly bullied.

But if I could go back in time and talk to my younger self, I still wouldn’t tell myself that it was all going to be okay.

The unique struggles that each of us overcome become our strengths.

If I hadn’t gone through any adversity in my life — or if I knew the positive outcomes ahead of time — I might not be who or where I am right now

So in a way, I’m grateful for everything I experienced.

Instead of promising a life of ease, I would simply tell myself to keep going. Don’t stop, don’t look back, and always keep your eyes in front of you.

I truly believe that if you stick with something long enough without giving up, you’ll get where you want to go.

I believe that young Michael could benefit from hearing that bit of advice.
